Tomorrow being Star Wars day and all, it’s no surprise that Star Wars-flavored MMORPGs are getting in on the fun, and that includes Star Wars Galaxies rogue server SWG Legends, which officially launched its upgraded Jedi Themepark (aka JTP2) just ahead of the weekend as part of the Rise of the Forgotten expansion.
“We are thrilled to unveil the long-anticipated conclusion to Rise of the Forgotten, the Jedi Themepark exclusive to SWG:Legends,” the devs tease. “Prepare to complete your epic journey with this groundbreaking expansion, bringing an array of exhilarating features to enrich your experience.”
As we previewed a few weeks back in our own interview with the player-run team, the update includes two new heroic instances along with their loot, and tons of exclusive Jedi stuff, like new robes, buff items, abilities, and lightsaber bits. There’s also a new crystal merging system, new armor, and some old SOE houses making their debut (finally!). According to the devs, the new themepark – basically a sprawling quest hub – is a both an extension of and a do-over for the OG Jedi themepark with a full “reimagining of the old Jedi system from pre-cu, introducing a fresh perspective that allows Jedi to follow their own unique path and become ‘more powerful than they can possibly imagine.'”
